The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will have an “enforced” dress code, which finds thongs and side boobs “problematic.”

The email, entitled "Wardrobe Advisory," was sent out by show runners of the awards ceremony and accidentally leaked to Deadline.com. Apparently a similar announcement went out to the musical stars last year, indicating that maybe the requests aren’t taken quite as seriously as they're meant to be (Fergie's orange dress) – and if you read the email, it's dripping with self-seriousness.

"Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered," reads the leaked email. "Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure."

Also a no-no are any clothing items baring brand name logos, or anything with commercial value. Personal causes can also not be promoted in any way through attire, according to the memo. What else would CBS frown upon? “OBSCENTITY OR PARTICALLY SEEN OBSCENITY ON WARDROBE IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR BROADCAST,” while foreign words could be OK if cleared.

While it appears the CBS is making a conscientious effort to dissuade the entertainers from revealing too much on prime time television, it’s likely the entertainers will make just as much of an effort to bend the rules to draw curious attention (see: Nicki Minaj Grammy’s 2012).
