Jimmy Fallon added the “Evolution of Dad Dancing” to his Evolution of Dance series on The Tonight Show with the help of special guest Gov. Chris Christie.

The "Evolution Of Dad Dancing"

New Jersey Governor Christie danced alongside Fallon in honor of Father’s Day, both dressed in ‘dad’ slacks and polo shirts. Together, the duo performed classic ‘dad’ dances including the “Oh, Stop It! I’m Not Embarrassing You” and the “Don’t Make Me Turn This Car Around.” But, perhaps the best dance was the “This Bridge Is Closed.”

The dance is the latest in Fallon’s Evolution of Dance series, which previously included the “Evolution of Mom Dancing” with First Lady Michelle Obama and the “Evolution of Hip-Hop Dancing” with Will Smith.

Gov. Christie Jokes About Bridgegate

A noticeably slimmer Gov. Christie also stuck around for an interview with Fallon, where he spoke on Eric Cantor’s recent loss at the polls and Bridgegate. Fallon was quick to bring up how comedians went after Christie after his faux apology for the George Washington Bridge scandal, offering his own apology of sorts. Fallon told Christie that it must have been difficult, especially for his family, to which Christie responded, “Believe me, that wasn’t nearly as bad as them watching me dance with you. They are so much more humiliated by that, because I actually did that!”
