On Tuesday, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-South Carolina) caused a stir on the House floor when she challenged Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) to go outside for a fight.
While criticizing Mace’s fixation on anti-trans messaging, Crockett said, “Somebody’s campaign coffers really are struggling right now…so she can’t keep saying trans, trans, trans, so that people will feel threatened. And child, listen–“
Mace cut in to yell, “I am no child! Do not call me a child. I am no child. Don’t even start. I am a grown woman, 47 years old.”
Mace continued her temper tantrum as Crockett spoke, saying, “I have broken more glass ceilings…you will not do that. I am not a child. I am not a child – if you want to take it outside.
Following the meeting, Crockett posted to X, saying, “Nancy Mace loved the ‘uneducated’ as Trump calls them please explain to me how the same d— Karen that called Cap Police on a child who shook her hand wanted to act like she wanted to fight me?!”
“ME…the same person who has represented real killers in court. She’s an attention-seeking loser who clearly has some fundraising goals to hit…and to be clear that is the only one that she will hit.”
Crockett continued, “Republicans incite violence from the highest levels of government & ALSO claim to be the party of law & order. The two cannot be true! Do yourself a favor, decide to require better of your electeds. Last I checked, threatening members in a committee room doesn’t exactly reduce the cost of eggs.”
In her own response post to X, Mace wrote, “Jasmine Crockett wants to act all high and mighty. Ask how she voted on the bill to protect women’s sports today? The Left only care about women when it fits their narrative.”
Following the hearing, Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-Florida) posted to X in disbelief, “Nancy Mace asked Jasmine Crockett to ‘go outside’. Chair Comer ruled that threatening violence against another member is okay, as long as it’s in the form of a question! Wild.”
