The former star of the 70s hit sitcom Good Times, John Amos, has accused his daughter, Shannon Amos, of elder abuse.

This comes a week after Shannon spoke publicly about her father being “the victim of elder abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation.”

She did not speak about the details of what happened to him, but said it is “believed to be perpetrated by a trusted caregiver.”

Now, John has just come out to say that Shannon is the one who has been abusing him.

A video by John’s son, under the account name kc.filmmaker, with John while he’s in a hospital bed was posted on TikTok.

The video had two captions.

The first one read, “Many aspects to this. If you have came to a quick conclusion there is still time to change the road your on.”

The second said, “There is time to change the road you are on. We still learn more each day so it’s surprising how many people have more hard facts then us. 🤷🏾‍♂️ #FraudtownUSA #checkAflick #Fall2023 #LearnOnTikTok”

The video was John on the phone with someone trying to help him out with any legal problems he is experiencing.

His son, K.C. Amos, was standing next to him, supporting him. He revealed that he has been to the hospital a few times before but that those issues have mainly been resolved

He then specifically states that his daughter is the one who has been abusing him.

“My main issues are I feel that I was, prior to entering the hospital, I had some ongoing issues with my daughter, who I feel has taken advantage of me and she would be the primary suspect, if you would, I don’t know if that’s the right term to use or not. But she’s the one that I would attribute my elderly abuse to and it’s definitely a case of elderly abuse because as I said—”

The video was cut off at the end, and it has not been released what else John said.

Shannon had started a GoFundMe account for her father, as she stated he was “fighting for his life in the ICU.”

Her goal was to raise $500,000 for her dad and use the money to “catch and prosecute the alleged perpetrators” of elder abuse.

This turned out to be untrue, as John said he was not “fighting for his life” and that he was doing just fine after he was hospitalized for heart problems. He was suggested that Shannon’s claims were “ridiculous.”

John said that had no idea that his daughter set up this page for him and that it was unnecessary because he did not need the money. Shannon eventually took down the page last week.
