Actor Anne Heche crashed her car into a Los Angeles residence last week and died on Friday.

She hit the home of Lynne Mishele who was inside her house at the time of the accident and lost almost all her belongings in the ensuing fire.

A GoFundMe established to help Mishele and her family said that everyone in the house was unharmed in the crash but the destruction left them in deep financial trouble.

Mishele was only able to save “a few damaged sentimental belongings” from the wreckage of her house. Luckily, over 2,000 donors were able to raise nearly $117,000.

According to a neighbor, Roy Morgen, Heche’s car crashed through her wall to a room that Mishele was in and “stopped about two feet from where she was sitting … She’s still in shock.”

A podcast episode featuring Heche that was released on the day of the crash and since deleted apparently featured her and the host discussing drinking vodka and how Heche is having a “bad day,” though the time of recording was earlier in the week.

She also allegedly got in a smaller misdemeanor crash before this incident that the police are also investigating, and was apparently filmed driving erratically that day.

Heche was trapped in her vehicle’s wreck for 65 minutes while the blazing fire prevented firefighters from getting to her.
