Two goats were shot on the Magnolia Homes; property in Waco, Texas, featured on the HGTV television show Fixer Upper, according to published reports.
Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton explained Sunday that investigators are trying to determine who killed the goats.
Police believe one or more people entered the property sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning, when employees arriving for work found the livestock dead. The grounds were closed at the time of the shootings.
Swanton described the goat shooting as a “senseless act.” Charges could include animal cruelty.
The show Fixer Upper follows husband-and-wife Chip and Joanna Gaines — as they rehab old homes for clients.
HGTV and representatives for Magnolia Homes have not commented on the reports.
