Gleek Alert: Dianna Agron, Mark Salling, Leah Michelle And Cory Monteith Take Central Park

The cast of Glee is currently filming in New York City and taking their bite out of the Big Apple. Gleeks will get to see their favorite cast members in various New York locations during this season’s finale episode. Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Chord Overstreet, Mark Salling, Dianna Agron, Ashley Fink, and other stars of the show have made the trip from L.A. to Manhattan. Among other locations, the cast was spotted, here, in Central Park taking a break.

The Glee cast is ecstatic about filming in New York. Many of them tweeted their excitement. “Filming in NYC is simply wonderful," Agron tweeted. To Berry, coming to New York is a dream come true. "Now it's time to get movin' because my dream of shooting in NYC is finally coming true! Hope u r ready NYC… Miss Rachel Berry is here!!" These tweets, and others, from the cast were welcome additions to the world of Twitter, unlike the recent tweet from Glee extra Nicole Crowther, which got her banned from the Fox show.

On Monday, the cast even got a warm welcome to New York from mayor Bloomberg. “New York is the city that is open to everyone from everywhere,” Bloomberg reported to the Wall Street Journal. “Greeks, Geeks, Gleeks — we love them all.” Dane Di Loreto, Glee producer, said that they feel welcome in New York and that they never met the mayor of Los Angeles. “Just in case you want to move everything to New York, we’d love to have you,” Bloomberg replied.
