Gisele Bündchen’s Mom, Vânia Nonnenmacher, Dies At 75 From Cancer

Supermodel Gisele Bündchen‘s mother, Vânia Nonnenmacher, died at the age of 75 on Sunday at Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

Nonnenmacher’s cause of death was revealed to be cancer. She was a retired bank clerk.

Aside from Bündchen, Nonnenmacher was the mother to five other daughters – Raquel, Graziela, Gabriela, Rafaela and Bündchen’s fraternal twin, Patrícia. Nonnenmacher raised her children in Horizontina, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

Bündchen has shown love for her mother frequently on social media. A post from July 2022 by Bündchen celebrated her mother’s birthday. Another Instagram post from September 2023 features Bündchen’s parents and sisters in a carousel of photos.

The model has referred to her personal struggles several times on social media since her divorce from Tom Brady. “When it rains it pours,” she wrote in the caption.

Bündchen called her split from Brady “the death of my dream.”
