Gisele Bundchen is under fire after allegedly wearing a Burqa as a disguise while visiting a plastic surgeon in Paris earlier this month.

Did Gisele Bundchen Wear A Burqa To Get Plastic Surgery?

Bundchen, 35, recently retired from the runway and reportedly wanted celebrated her retirement and 35th birthday with a little plastic surgery. According to a report by Page Six, Bundchen checked into the International Clinique du Parc Monceau on July 15, her identity hidden to outside photographers by a black Burqa – a traditional Muslim garb worn by women to hide their features from the public.

The story ran with photos of two women, whom the report claimed are Bundchen and her younger sister, Rafaela, in Burqas entering the clinic. Photographers determined the women were Bundchen and her sister because they arrived in a car driven by Bundchen’s Parisian driver, who was also photographed picking up Bundchen from the very same building two weeks prior to her alleged surgery, on June 30.

Bundchen has not commented on the reports that she underwent plastic surgery, let alone the accusations of using religious clothing as a disguise. Any admission might be detrimental to the model’s reputation, as Bundchen has previously sworn never to go under the knife, dismissing the idea in 2008, saying, “No way.”

Many are offended by the alleged use of a Burqa for disguise, especially the fact that it was supposedly done by two non-Muslim women during Ramadan. Furthermore, in France it is illegal to wear a Burqa or Niqab in public – both religious garments cover up the face – a law that many have called the French Burqa ban.
