Gigi Hadid And Zayn Malik Break Up After 7 Months

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have decided to call it quits after only seven months of dating.

Hadid, 21, and Malik, 23, have broken up, reported People magazine. Despite the public split, sources close to the couple believe it’s possible that the two might get back together in the near future. Apparently, Hadid and Malik, throughout the relationship, had weathered brief splits.

“It seems like it’s not totally over” between the couple, who split “a couple of weeks ago,” a source told People.

“Zayn and Gigi did break up, but they can likely get back together tomorrow,” another source told E! News. “It’s all very unclear what’s going on between them now. They been having some issues lately that involved communication and getting along.”

Though communication was apparently a big issue in the model and singer’s relationship leading up to the breakup, Hadid, at least, remains attached to Malik and wouldn’t mind reuniting.

“Gigi is really sad about this, though, and in a way would like to work it out,” the source added. “It’s more about that constant contact with Zayn that she misses and they did get very close.”

Hadid and Malik first sparked romance rumors in November of last year, when they were pictured exiting an American Music Awards after party. Before the two even confirmed their relationship, Hadid starred in the music video for Malik’s first single as a solo artist after leaving One Direction, “PillowTalk.” In May, Hadid and Malik posed together for an issue of Vogue.

Only a few weeks ago, Hadid and Malik made their red carpet debut together at the 2016 Met Gala.

Incidentally, Hadid’s close pal Taylor Swift has recently become single as well, splitting from her longtime boyfriend, Scottish DJ Calvin Harris.
