Monica was channeling the 80’s in a pant suit at the first annual BET Players’ Awards at the Penn & Teller Theater at the Rio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas over the weekend.
The singer donned a revealing gold Versace suit that showed off her bust and petite figure. Monica accessorized with black strappy sandals and minimal jewelry. For her makeup, she went with a dark smoky eye and nude lip and set off her look with flaming red hair.
Monica, 34, attended with her pro-basketball player husband Shannon Brown who plays for the LA Lakers. She went on to perform her newest single “Just Right For Me” off her most recent album Code Red at the event.
The mother of three’s eighth studio album is due out later this year and will feature tracks from legendary producers Missy Elliot and Timbaland among others. Back in 2014 Monica leaked a small sample of a song nicknamed “I Love Him” which is one of the singles produced by Elliot.
To get this look, check out this modern suit by Nordstrom. This deep red, wool-blend suit features a one button blazer and flat front dress pants. The blazer has broad peak lapels with flap pockets in front that give it a more feminine appeal, while the pants are loose fitting and have a crease in front for a hint of sophistication. To finish out the look add these stiletto sandals for a bit of glamour.
