The daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall has been in some financial distress with her skincare company Catfish Soup.
The company was incorporated in 2017, but doesn’t have a product yet and is current sitting at over £350,000 in debt according to the “Net current liabilities” line of her publicly-filed account statement.
This report was filed late last month and accounts for 2021 expenses.
Georgia must be continuing to pump her inheritance, or income from her modeling career, into the company.
One note filed under “Going Concern” in her account reads, “the director is satisfied that she can continue to support the company until the development of the product is completed and the company starts to make sufficient profits from product sales to enable it to meet its liabilities without the director’s support.”
Jagger is still listed as the sole employee of Catfish Soup, so employee salaries aren’t to blame for these growing debts. Her previous year filing showed debts of £253,130, which went up to £355,956 precisely. This converts to around $390,000.
Georgia’s significant Instagram following and clout from her famous dad means there is definitely an audience for her company, but they will need a product to buy before that’s helpful to her.
Georgia’s mom Hall was Mick Jagger’s longtime partner, and they had three other children besides Georgia. Hall was also briefly married to media mogul Rupert Murdoch, but divorced him later.
Georgia is the second youngest, younger than sister Lizzie Scarlett Jagger and brother James Leroy Augustin Jagger, and older than Gabriel Luke Jagger. She also has several half-siblings from Mick’s other relationships.
She is also a very successful model, having walked for brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Balmain, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander Wang to name just a few. She has recently signed with the modeling agency The Lions.
