George W. Bush has taken on painting as a hobby full force since leaving the White House, with nude self-portraits and dogs emerging as his favorite subjects.
Bonnie Floor, a Georgia-based artist, served as Bush’s art teacher for a month in Boca Raton, Fla. She spent about six hours a day instructing him over the month, giving him tips about mixing paints and different kinds of brushstrokes. "He started off painting dogs. I think he said he painted 50 dogs," Flood told Fox 5 Atlanta. “I don't paint dogs!"
Although Flood might not be a huge fan of painting dogs herself, she seems to think the former president has an aptitude with the paintbrush. "He's going to go down in the history books as a great artist," Flood told Fox.
Since his dog days, he’s moved onto painting landscapes, and shower nudes, which were leaked when his family members’ emails were hacked back in February.
