George Michael’s ex-boyfriend Fadi Fawaz shared a bizarre artwork tribute Monday to honor the late pop star on the one-year anniversary of his death.

George Michael death tributes news

The 44-year-old Lebanese photographer had been with Michael since 2009 and was the one who found the singer’s lifeless body on Christmas Day 2016.

Michael — a former member of pop duo Wham! along with Andrew Ridgeley — died at age 53, reportedly of natural causes, in his home in Oxfordshire, England.

Fawaz took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message to his former lover – with an abstract image showing their faces merged together.

It is what it is.

“It is what it is,” Fawaz captioned the photo.

On the right cheek, a poem is written in red letters opening with: “I will always miss you till the day I meet you.”

Scores of other fans posted tributes to Michael outside his home or elsewhere in Oxfordshire.

“I will be spending Christmas in the countryside with some friends,” said Fawaz. “I can’t stand all the Christmas trees or lights around London.

“It makes me so sad, I just want it over and done with.”

Yesterday it was revealed George’s grave still does not have a headstone.

Before dating Fawaz in 2009, Michael — who was nicknamed Yog — split from his partner of 13 years, Texan businessman Kenny Goss.
