George Michael‘s cause of death has been revealed by a coroner to be natural causes as a result of heart disease and a fatty liver.

GEORGE MICHAEL CAUSE OF DEATH: NATURAL CAUSES

The great singer died in his home on Christmas morning and was found by his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz. “As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, the investigation is being discontinued and there is no need for an inquest or any further enquiries,” said the official statement from the coroner.

Some people believed Fawaz had possibly been involved in Michael’s death, and Michael’s family especially didn’t trust him. After the investigation ceased, Fawaz took to Twitter to air his thoughts.

“The truth is out,” one post said. “F–k you,” said another, in all caps.

And finally, he explained: “All the nasty comments, press and 999 were very cruel and unnecessary whatsoever, Now I hope to receive some real LOVE x.”

Michael was 53 when he died. The initial autopsy was inconclusive as to cause of death. The singer’s manager unofficially told CBS at the time that the cause was heart failure.

Previously, in 2011, Michael suffered a near-fatal bout of pneumonia, but pulled through. He had to cancel a European tour he had scheduled due to the illness. “I got streptococca-something,” he said at the time, thanking the hospital staff. “It’s a form of pneumonia and they spent three weeks keeping me alive basically.”
