George Clooney appeared in full faux ancient Roman garb on the set of Joel and Ethan Cohen‘s comedy Hail, Caesar!.
In the latest Cohen brothers flick Hail, Caesar! Clooney plays the fictional 1950s leading man Baird Whitlock, who is starring one of the historical dramas of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Baird is one of a number of actors that Hollywood fixer Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin) has as a client, who he tries desperately to keep in line on the single day in which Hail, Caesar! takes place.
The all-star cast of Hail, Caesar!, in addition to Clooney and Brolin, features Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Tilda Swindon Ralph Fiennes and Frances McDormand.
The Cohen brothers wrote the script for Hail, Caesar! and are directing the picture. Past collaborations between the brothers and Clooney include Burn After Reading and O Brother, Where Art Thou?.
Hail, Caesar! arrives in theaters Feb. 5, 2016.
