‘General Hospital’ Actor Johnny Wactor Shot & Killed In Los Angeles Robbery

General Hospital actor Johnny Wactor was fatally shot on Saturday in Los Angeles. Wactor was involved in an alleged attempted robbery when three men tried to steal his car’s catalytic convertor. 

Wactor’s mother, Sharon Wactor, said Wactor saw a man working on his car. Assuming his vehicle was being towed, Wactor approached the man and was shot. The three men drove off in a vehicle as paramedics rushed to the scene. Wactor was pronounced dead at the hospital at age 37.

According to LAPD, the incident occurred around 3:25 a.m., and a “white male, age 30-35” was the victim. However, the LAPD did not confirm Wactor by name as the victim. Authorities have yet to name the suspects involved in the shooting.

Known for playing Brando Corbin on General Hospital, Wactor’s costars honored him on social media. Actress Sofia Mattsson, who played Wactor’s wife on the show, paid tribute to him on social media.

“My heart is so utterly broken… Johnny was the absolute best,” she wrote. “You will be so incredibly missed, Johnny.”

Wactor’s acting credits include Criminal Minds, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, Siberia and Station 19.
