DJ Paul, the co-founder of Three 6 Mafia with Juicy J, shared a photo of Mitchell on social media. “Man we was jus together three weeks ago,” Lil Jon wrote in a comment on the Instagram post. “Rest well quenn.”

Juicy J also posted a photo of himself with Boo with a broken heart emoji.

Boo began rapping in her early teens. After K-9, she was the second female rapper of Three 6 Mafia, a hip-hop group based in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. She appeared on their 1995 debut album, Mystic Stylez, and remained in the group until 2001.

Boo also had a solo career, beginning with 1998’s Enquiring Minds and the single “Where Dem Dollas At?” She has also guested on tracks with OutKast, Run the Jewels, Lil Wayne, Eminem and more.

In an interview with Billboard published last month, Boo spoke about her legacy. “I have to admit, respectfully and humbly, that I am the blueprint. I hear my cadence in a lot of men and female rappers…my sound is a Memphis sound. It’s a Gangsta Boo sound, it’s a Three 6 Mafia sound. So, I am the blueprint and I wear that badge proudly as f—.”
