‘Game of Thrones’ Concert Experience Set To Go On Tour In 2017 [Ticket Info]

Ramin Djawadi, composer of the Game of Thrones series, is heading an orchestra on an audiovisual tour, according to reports on Tuesday.

‘Game of Thrones’ Concert Experience Goes On The Road

The tour will visit 28 cities across North America and feature music from the HBO drama. The tour has been described as a “music and visual experience that will bring the Seven Kingdoms to life on a scale never seen before.”

The tour is produced and promoted exclusively by Live Nation in partnership with HBO Global Licensing, and will reportedly include a choir and themed visuals using video technology, that will recreate the realms found throughout Westeros, as well as highlight key footage from the show.

“The idea is to showcase how the music enhances those experiences for the audience,” Djawadi told Time magazine. “There’s some great, big exciting moments, like for example Mesa, which was when Daenerys frees all the slaves, and people will remember that very uplifting moment, but then we will perform some of these heartbreaking moments with real musicians.”

“That’s always very special too, because when you see live musicians perform music they put their own emotion into it, and you see a violinist and how their body moves,” the composer added. “I think that’s so powerful.”

The 360-degree set design will contain LED screens and flaming towers, which will double up as a platform for the choir and orchestra.

The tour begins on February 15, 2017 in Kansas City, before traveling to arenas and venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York, and The Forum in Los Angeles, until May.
