On Tuesday, Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss and confront fan theories of the HBO fantasy drama which is coming to an end after eight seasons.

While speaking with host Jimmy Kimmel, Coster-Waldau, who portrays Jaime Lannister on the series, recalled how he felt when he read the script for Season 8 of GOT for the first time.

“When I read it the first time, I was blown away,” the actor said. “I wrote Dan and David, the two creators and I was like, ‘I don’t know how you did it, but I can’t imagine a better way of ending the show.'”

Coster-Waldau also opened up about feeling sad that the show was coming to an end. “You know that thing when you read a really good book? And like it’s so good and you get to the last ten pages and you’re like, ‘Ah I’m going to wait until tomorrow because you know the moment you’re finished it just sucks,” he said.

While on the show, Kimmel also quizzed Coster-Waldau on a few fan theories.

“I’m a terrible liar, so this might be it,” Coster-Waldau admitted in response to the first theory, that his character Jamie will kill his sister Cersei. “That’s a theory. Yeah. It makes sense though if you think about it.” Other fan theories include that Arya will use Jamie’s face to kill Cersei and that Jon Snow will become the Night King.

Kimmel later reminded the actor how he pushed Bran Stark out the window in the first episode, which Coster-Waldau stands behind. “Think about it this way,” Coster-Waldau said. “What would the show be without that? We wouldn’t have the three-eyed raven. We wouldn’t have Hodor ‘hold the door.’”
