HBO announced the February premiere dates for their new drama and returning comedies on Thursday, but a premiere date for the popular Game of Thrones has yet to be announced.

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Premiere To Debut Later Than Past Seasons

HBO revealed the February premiere dates for Martin Scorsese’s ’70s-set record label drama Vinyl, along with comedies Girls and Togetherness. Vinyl starts Sunday, Feb. 14 with a two-hour opening, and the comedies launch a week later.

HBO usually airs its original programming for up to two hours on one night a week, and Game of Thrones usually airs after the network’s late-winter shows conclude – often late March or early April.

A premiere date for Game of Thrones has not been announced, but given that the winter programs have 10 episodes each, the hit series couldn’t return in early April, or mid-April, even if all three shows ran for 10 weeks straight.

However, Game of Thrones will most likely premiere in late April at the earliest and the later premiere would also have the effect of pushing the drama’s finale deeper into summer than usual.
