'Game of Thrones' Recap: Daenerys Takes Revenge On Krazyns, Speaks Valyrian

Game of Thrones' latest episode, "And Now His Watch Is Ended," opened at the scene that closed last week's, where Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) had his dominant hand severed from his limb by the Brave Companions. He is riding with them and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie), who they've also captured, with his hand swinging from his neck. On the journey, the Brave Companions continue to torture him – beating the suffering swordsman, and offering him horse urine to quench his thirst.

At King's Landing, Varys (Conleth Hill) is offering words of wisdom to Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage). He recounts the story of his castration by a Myrish sorcerer, and how he now has the man captured in a box – suggesting that revenge can come with patience. Elsewhere in the capitol, Podrick Payne's (Daniel Portman) sexual prowess with the prostitutes is the subject of gossip. Later, Varys discusses Littlefinger's (Aiden Gillen) plans to take Sansa Stark with him to Eyire with Ros (Esme Bianco) and the Queen of Thorns.

Meanwhile, Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) brings Margaery (Natalie Dormer) to the tombs of the Targaryen kings, where she continues to display her abilities in manipulating him. Not only does she suggest that Sansa (Sophie Turner) marry her brother, Loras (Finn Jones), she convinces him to wave to a crowd of townspeople, encouraging Joffrey to warm them to him. Cersei (Lena Headey) begins to worry about the problems that Margaery's family could cause for the Lannisters.

Up north at Craster's Keep, the men of the Knight's Watch revolt on Craster (Robert Pugh) and likewise turn on one another in their hunger and fatigue. In the end, Craster's throat gets slit and Commander Mormont (Ian Glen) is killed. In the confusion, Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) flees with one of Craster's women and her baby in tow.

The last ten minutes of "And Now His Watch Is Ended" focuses on Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clark) and the deal between her and slaver Krazyns of Astapor (Dan Hildebrand), in which she was to receive his army of The Unsullied in exchange for one of her dragons. However, Daenerys, who reveals she speaks Valyrian, had other plans in mind. Her first act after collecting her slave army is to set them on their former masters, and then follows that up by setting her dragon on Krazyns. After the carnage is complete, she elects to set The Unsullied free, but they opt to continue serving her.

Also in the episode, Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) seems to regret murdering the two young men and having turned on the Starks. After escaping his captors last week, he finds himself double-crossed and back in his old torture-chamber. Meanwhile, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Throros of Myr and The Hound (Rory McCann) arrive at the cave of the Lightning Lord. Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer) and Arya team up against The Hound in citing his past crimes, which results in Dondarrion offering him a trail by combat.

Game of Thrones airs Sunday on HBO at 9/8c.
