‘Game of Thrones’ Castle On The Market, Bids Will Start Around $650K
HBO’s Game of Thrones has left a gargantuan impact on its fans, all of whom would certainly love to visit Westeros. However, while visiting the fictional realm is impossible, one fan with a lot of money will manage to visit the next best thing: Northern Ireland’s Gosford Castle.
GAME OF THRONES CASTLE ON THE MARKET
Gosford Castle may be better recognized by series’ fans as Castle Riverrun, appearing as such in the third season of Game of Thrones. Surrounded by 590 acres of forest, the sizable property houses 15 bedrooms and ten bathrooms. Starting bids will begin at around $650,000.
However, warmth will prove to be an additional expense, as the castle was constructed in the mid-1800s and lacks any heating mechanisms. Nevertheless, the structure does house an interesting history; it was used in World War II as a prisoner-of-war camp and a home for troops, later becoming a hotel.
