Pedro Pascal, who endeared himself to Game of Thrones fans for his captivating turn as Oberyn ‘The Red Viper’ Martell this season, has landed a new project on Netflix.
Pascal will star opposite Wagner Moura (Elysium) in upcoming Netflix series Narcos, reported Entertainment Weekly. Narcos, written by Chris Brancato with Jose Padilha directing, will focus on cocaine cartels and the stories of the men involved in them as well as the law enforcement officials whose main ambition is to take them down.
In Narcos, Pascal will play Mexican DEA agent Javier Pena. Javier’s mission is to head to Colombia to eliminate drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, played by Moura, reported Deadline.
Narcos is slated to premiere on the Netflix streaming network sometime in 2015.
