Gabby Petito’s Emotional Letter To Boyfriend Who Murdered Her, Brian Laundrie, Uncovered

An undated love letter from Gabby Petito to her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, was among the evidence recently released by the FBI, showing Petito pleaded with Laundrie to “stop calling me names” and expressed how much she loved him before their ill-fated road trip in 2021.

“Brian, you know how much I love you, so (and I’m writing this with love), just please stop crying and stop calling me names because we are a team, and I’m here with you,” Petito wrote in the letter obtained by the FBI during its investigation.

The 22-year-old travel blogger apologized for getting upset over an unspecified argument, saying, “Yes, I can be a child sometimes, I know, but it’s cause you give me this energy, and I just love you too much, like so much it hurts.”

Laundrie killed Petito during their cross-country road trip in the summer of 2021. Her body was found in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park. Laundrie returned home to Florida without Petito and later killed himself by a self-inflicted gunshot wound during the search.

Along with Petito’s letter, the FBI documents included drawings from Laundrie’s notebook that appeared to reference violence and displayed words like “kill” and “trust nobody.” Entries described his struggles with mental health and suicidal thoughts, including keeping a loaded revolver under his mattress.

In one notebook entry, Laundrie described a nightmare about Petito leaving him, writing, “Oh how sweet she is to say we should get together, but you know when you walk out that door she’ll be gone forever again.”

Other items found included hundreds of bullets, gun magazines, literature from the Jehovah’s Witnesses and Chuck Palahniuk‘s novel Choke. Near Petito’s body, authorities found two arrows and ammunition.

The FBI said Laundrie took responsibility for Petito’s death in writings found in his notebook.

Petito took selfies of her bruised face prior to her murder.
