Frozen stars Kristen Bell and Josh Gad are joining forces again to bring animated musical to television.

On Monday, news broke out that Gad, who is a Tony award winner for his work on The Book Of Mormon, will be co-writing and co-starring in a new musical series called Central Park. 

The show will be focused around a family of Central Park caretakers who end up saving the park. Central Park has been added to Apple’s programming slate and is set to be a two-season series, 13 episodes per season, according to Variety.

The show will feature the voice talents of Gad’s fellow Frozen cast member Bell, and Tony winners from the play Hamilton, Leslie Odom Jr. and Daveed Diggs. Golden Globe and Emmy winner Stanley Tucci is also set to join the voice cast. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Tituss Burgess and Bad Moms actress Kathryn Hahn are also signed on to the project.

Odom tells Gad over Twitter that he is “looking forward to spending time in the world as you imagine it.”

 

Executive producers of the hit animated comedy series Bob’s Burgers Loren Bouchard and Nora Smith are also working on Apple’s new series.

News about the show’s release date has not been revealed, but will be once production starts. Gad and Bell’s reprise of their characters Olaf and Anna in Frozen 2 will be in theaters on November 27, 2019.
