Frances McDormand was one of the actresses at the Golden Globes on Sunday who was honored for her talents. And, not unlike how Aziz Ansari’s speech, McDormand’s talk was censored by NBC.
Winning in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama category for her performance in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (a film that wasn’t afraid to feature profanity in its dialog), McDormand started her speech by admitting she “has a few things to say.” Those monitoring the awards ceremony took notice, and remained jumpy throughout her whole speech.
Ultimately, with the sole exception of one “shite” (which humorously was not censored), McDormand‘s speech was clean from profanity, meaning all of the words that were censored didn’t need to be. Her entire unaltered speech can be seen below:
