FOX’s Gotham returns Sept. 19 for its third season, and will feature a new actress playing the role of Poison Ivy, who has emerged from young teenager into adulthood.
In season three, Maggie Geha will replaces Claire Foley as a grown-up Poison Ivy. Many fans have questioned how the transformation from teen to adult would take place, and FOX has provided some answers, however vague. “The series also will catch up with the future Poison Ivy (Maggie Geha), who, after an encounter with a monster from Indian Hill, finds herself reborn as a young woman who’s harnessed the full power of her charms,” FOX released.
Season three will look deeper into the Court of Owls, the famed criminal ring, while Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) anoints himself as the bounty hunter for the city. This season will bring many new characters, and leave behind some old (namely Lee Thompkins, played by Morena Baccarin). As goes with the introduction of Paul Reubens as the father of the Penguin, it seems as though this season of Gotham will bring about more than allies.
