Brenda Buttner Dies
Fox News journalist Brenda Buttner died from cancer-related illness on Monday. She was 55. Buttner, a business correspondent and host of Fox’s Bulls & Bears joined Fox News in 2000. She began her career at an NBC affiliate in Nevada, and went on to host CNBC’s The Money Club.
Neil Cavuto, colleague and host of Fox News’ Your World, honored Buttner on Monday, calling her “unflappable.” “Brenda Buttner made us want to watch a business show with heart — her heart,” he said on air.
He continued his tribute, stating, “She took stock of life much more than any stock in life. It’s what separated her from everyone else in this business. Not just dollars, you see, Brenda had depth.”
“Let it be known that Brenda Buttner made us want to watch a business show with heart. Her heart, her spirit. Business journalism is never going to be the same. I just don’t know, now that she’s gone, whether we’ll ever be. Brenda Buttner, gone way too soon at 55,” Cavuto lamented.
