All five living presidents Joe BidenDonald TrumpBarack ObamaGeorge W. Bush and Bill Clinton— were reunited on Jan. 9 to honor former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral in the Washington National Cathedral. The event saw civility between political foes. Trump and Obama were even seen laughing during a friendly exchange.

But former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon claimed that Bush snubbed Trump.

On his political podcast, WarRoom, Bannon called Bush “the worst president in the history of the country.”

“Bush walked past Trump, the man fixing the mess he created,” Bannon said. “This is who they are — arrogant, out-of-touch elites.”

Obama was also not spared on the podcast, even though Trump and Obama put their clashing politics aside.

“For all the fanboys out there saying Obama was talking to Trump, no, Obama snubbed President Trump,” he said. “Didn’t shake his hand.”

Bannon also attacked former Vice President Mike Pence, “Pence can’t commit to anything, not even a firm handshake.”

Bannon was sentenced to four months in prison after being convicted in 2022 on two counts of contempt of Congress after defying subpoenas requested by the Jan. 6 House committee. He was released in October 2024

Trump’s hush money case concluded on Jan. 10 with no jail sentence, fine or probation. Trump’s inauguration is Jan. 20.
