Former GOP Rep. Ken Buck Calls Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene ‘Moscow Marjorie’ For ‘Getting Talking Points From The Kremlin’ Against Ukraine Aid

Former GOP Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colorado) slammed GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for getting talking points from Russian President Vladimir Putin while threatening to remove House Speaker Mike Johnson.

Now that Congress has returned from recess, Johnson has to figure out how he can pass new aid for Ukraine, something that far-right Republicans such as Greene oppose.

Greene slammed Johnson for holding a vote to fund Ukraine, saying it was one of the most “egregious things” he could do.

“Moscow Marjorie is focused now on this Ukraine issue, getting her talking points from the Kremlin, making sure she is popular, and getting a lot of coverage,’ Buck told CNN’s Erin Burnett Outfront.

Buck, one of the eight Republicans who voted to remove Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker, accused the Georgia representative of always focusing on her social media account instead of the national interest.

The retired Colorado Representative claimed that Russia is spreading false statements about its war in Ukraine, and he praised Johnson for choosing to be responsible by holding a vote on aid.

Buck argued, “Mike Johnson is on the right side of history, and Marjorie is on the wrong side of history.”

He also condemned Greene’s baseless suggestion that Johnson is “corrupt,” stating that many of her statements over the years were “completely irresponsible.”

“The idea that somehow the speaker [Johnson] is corrupt because he believes that we should be supporting an ally that has been invaded by a war criminal, Vladimir Putin, and the idea that somehow anybody that is in agreement with Ukraine and our NATO allies is corrupt, it’s just another distraction,” the former representative stated.

Greene has put forward many conspiracy theories and claims while in office. Recently, she said that the 4.8-magnitude earthquake that hit the New York City and New Jersey areas on the morning of April 5 was a sign from God.

Johnson has been under mounting pressure to proceed with an aid package to Ukraine, but his caucus is experiencing internal turmoil over the move.

Hard-right Republicans are firmly against passing the bill.

Trump recently said that he “won’t give a penny to the Ukrainian-Russian war,” according to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán
