Former Disney Star Amanda Bynes Calls Off New Podcast After One Episode To Pursue Manicurist License After Drake Rejects Interview Offer

On Thursday, actress Amanda Bynes was seen out and about at the Santa Anita Mall in Southern California after her recent choice to discontinue her podcast, Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast.

Bynes, a former Disney Channel child star, revealed a new look when she debuted a buzzcut with long, mullet-style blonde extensions. She attracted the attention of the paparazzi as she took a vape break before she went to an auto body shop. Later, she was accompanied by an unidentified man and enjoyed a test drive.

In a statement posted to her Instagram story earlier in the week, she announced her decision, “The 1st episode of my podcast did really well. I was actually surprised and of course was going to keep going after friends encouraged me to.. After thinking about it, though, I would rather get my manicurist license and have a consistent job. I’m going to follow that path instead.” She concluded, “Thank you for following my journey!”

The decision to cancel the podcast came after Bynes was unable to secure high-profile guests, as mentioned in her recent TikTok posts. Notably, she had expressed her aspirations to feature musicians such as Drake, Jack Harlow and Post Malone.

Bynes shared her disappointment and stated that she had eagerly anticipated recording the upcoming episode but felt disheartened by the circumstances.

In September, it was reported that Bynes was actively working on her recovery journey after a tumultuous year marked by various mental and physical health challenges. Bynes has put a focus on her well-being through different treatments, and strives to maintain privacy and spend time with trusted individuals.

The podcast was announced earlier this month and aired just a single episode.

Bynes has a history of intense struggles and was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold in June.

In July, she voluntarily checked into an intensive inpatient mental health treatment center in Orange County shortly after she completed an outpatient program in the Los Angeles area. Despite the termination of her multi-year conservatorship in March 2022, as she convinced the court it was no longer necessary, Bynes understandably continued to face mental health battles.

In March, prior to her hospitalization, Bynes experienced the end of her on-and-off relationship with Paul Michael. She was found in the streets of Los Angeles unclothed after the breakup.
