Foo Fighters Will Release Bee Gees Tribute As ‘The Dees Gees’
The Foo Fighters announced that they will release an LP tribute to the Bee Gees in celebration of Record Store Day. The band will go by the name Dees Gees, a reference to frontman Dave Grohl’s initials.
The LP, called Hail Satan, will be released on July 17 according to the band’s Instagram and Twitter accounts.
The Instagram announcement video featured the LP’s psychedelic cover-a purple background, and disco lights alongside Bee Gees’ music. The caption read:
“Introducing…the Dee Gees!!!

The Instagram account for Record Store Day commented with several heart-eye emojis in response to the video.
The record will feature such classics as “Night Fever,” “Tragedy,” “You Should Be Dancing” and “More Than a Woman.” The LP’s first side will hold songs like “Andy Gibb’s Shadow Dancing,” which was number one on the U.S. charts for seven weeks in 1978. The second side will have five live versions of songs from their new album, Medicine at Midnight.
