The Foo Fighters are expanding their current Concrete and Gold tour, and will also cancel some gigs due to a “family emergency.”
This is mixed news for Foo fans. The band is currently on tour promoting their ninth studio album Concrete and Gold. Their world tour began in June in Reykjavik, Iceland, and they made their way to the North American leg earlier this month.
Due to a family emergency, however, the Foos have had to cancel a handful of shows in Lexington, Nashville, and Memphis. As an apology, they have extended their tour into spring and summer of 2018, starting in Austin in April and ending in Chicago at the end of July. Tickets for the new dates will go on sale Nov. 3.
In addition, the Foo Fighters, led by Dave Grohl, recently released a new song called “Soldier” to support 7-Inches for Planned Parenthood, a sexual health care nonprofit. The organization produced a 33-song album featuring music from famed artists, such as the Foos, Bon Iver, John Legend, St. Vincent, and CHVRCHES, which came out digitally on Oct. 20.
