Floyd Mayweather is still undefeated following his latest bout against Marcos Maidana in which two of the judges found him as the clear winner.

Floyd Mayweather Beats Marcos Maidana

At the end of the fight, Maidana seemed to think that he had upset the reigning champion. However, after the judges deliberated, it was revealed that Mayweather would hold onto his title. Judge Michael Pernick scored it a 114-114 draw, Burt Clements scored it 117-111 and Dave Moretti scored it 116-112 for Mayweather.

More than 16,000 boxing fans, including pop star Justin Bieber, turned out for the highly anticipated sporting event in Las Vegas. The majority of the fans were hoping to see Maidana upset Mayweather and were disappointed in the judges scoring. When Mayweather's name was called, boos echoed throughout the arena.

In a post-match press conference, the tension between Mayweather and Maidana, who felt he was robbed of a victory, was palpable. After weathering the controversy about his gloves in the week preceding the fight, Maidana felt he did more than enough throughout the rounds to secure his win. The boxer seemed intent on getting a rematch with Mayweather. Mayweather stated he'd be willing to square off against him in his next scheduled fight for Showtime in September.

Mayweather, who has 46 wins with 26 knock outs under his belt, threw half as many punches as Maidana Saturday night. However, the veteran boxer connected nine more punches than his competitor, earning his latest win.
