Florence Pugh is speaking out against the body-shaming she has received after showing off a sheer pink Valentino dress on Friday that exposed her breasts in an Instagram post this weekend.

Pugh added “not a wink of me was nervous,” before and after showing the photos, and she still hasn’t been shamed out of wearing what she wants. She still took the time to speak about the toxicity of the response to her body.

“What’s been interesting to watch and witness is just how easy it is for men to totally destroy a woman’s body, publicly, proudly for everyone to see,” Pugh observed in the post’s lengthy caption.

While she didn’t specify any particular people, she said there were people online who “wanted to aggressively let me know how disappointed you were by my ‘tiny tits,’ or how I should be embarrassed by being so ‘flat-chested.'”

“It has always been my mission in this industry to say ‘f–ck it and f–ck that’ whenever anyone expects my body to morph into an opinion of what’s hot or sexually attractive,” Pugh wrote assertively. She said that those hung up on her wardrobe choices should, “Respect people. Respect bodies. Respect all women. Respect humans. Life will get a whole lot easier, I promise.”

Pugh is a highly sought-after actor at the moment, with her next known project Don’t Worry Darling arriving in theaters this fall. She is also set to appear in the new Christopher Nolan film Oppenheimer, as well as Dune: Part Two.
