Flight MH370 was destined to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur on March 8, 2014. Somehow, the plane and it’s 239 passengers vanished.
Villagers in Madagascar are still finding debris from the plane, in multiple locations, and as recently as August. Those bits are being given to the next of kin of the passengers. This has lead to those people urging Malaysia to resume the search for the plane that disappeared in 2014.
“The fact that debris is still washing up now means that the investigation should still be live. It shouldn’t be closed,” said Grace Nathan, a lawyer whose mother, Anne Daisy, was on the plane.
Though it seems unlikely that the plane will be found. Investigators have concluded that the carft veered off course before crashing into the Indian Ocean. A 495-page report released in July said that the plane’s controls were “deliberately manipulated” to take it off course but did not point the blame at anyone in particular.
These pieces of debris join more than 30 others that are suspected to be a part of MH370. Though, out of those pieces, only three bits of the wing have been confirmed to be from the plane.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke said that the government would resume the government may resume the search “but we must have some credible leads before we decide.”
