Fleetwood Mac band member Lindsey Buckingham is currently “working on” his relationship with Kristen Messner after she filed for a divorce.
“Relationships in the long term can be challenging, and they have their ups and downs,” Buckingham told People. “You’ve got to take that ride and be willing to take it.”
Buckingham said that his relationship, like many, was tested by the pandemic lockdown and that Messner needed some time alone.
“Before this all went down, I was not aware that many people file for divorce and then choose not to follow through,” he said. ‘Kristen and I agree that is the best course to follow, focusing instead on working on our relationship.”
Buckingham and Messner married each other in 2000, and have three children, two of whom are adults.
They originally filed for divorce in June. The couple never shared why they originally decided to break up.
