Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will enter theaters on May 5, 2017. James Gunn returned to direct the new installment, and he gave fans of the intergalactic heroes a pleasant surprise:

In other words, the first trailer for the film should be released soon, and a brief teaser was uploaded to help make the wait easier. The teaser displays Drax, played by Dave Bautista, sharing a heartwarming moment with Star-Lord. Pom Klementieff is set to join the team, too.

Chris Pratt, who portrays Peter Quill/Star-Lord, the leader of the band of misfits, has expressed his excitement for Vol. 2, which is a sentiment fellow Galaxy veteran Vin Diesel (who voiced Groot) seemed to echo.

While the Guardians’ next adventure is still months away, patrons of the Marvel Cinematic Universe still have Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, coming on November 4.
