Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney won the Woman of the Year award from British magazine Attitude.

“Dylan Mulvaney is our Woman of the Year, supported by @VirginAtlantc,” the magazine wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Mulvaney responded to the post, saying, “Knowing that my community sees me this way and acknowledges my womanhood is all I need to keep going.”

Mulvaney posted her acceptance speech on social media.

“Some people don’t see me as a woman at all, which is why receiving this honor from a queer publication like Attitude means so much more to me,” Mulvaney said. “No matter how hard I try or what I wear, or what I say, or what surgeries I get, I will never reach an acceptable version of womanhood by those hateful people’s standards. But as long as I have the queer community that sees me for my truth, I’m gonna be ok.”

Mulvaney made headlines this year when she partnered with Bud Light as part of a campaign. The decision sparked much criticism, resulting in a sharp decline in sales for the brand.

Predictably, the move stirred a fierce debate on social media. One user wrote: “Seriously? Dylan Mulvaney is woman of the year? Glad that is such an unimportant award from an unheard of magazine.”

Conservative commentator Candace Owens wrote: “Unbelievable. Dylan Mulvaney wins ‘Woman Of The Year Award.’”

Another thing taken from a woman. Caitlyn Jenner and now this. The prim queen at my school was a guy. As women, we have faught for years to be acknowledged and now men who want to be women win. Nso men still win. Even the things meant for girls.

I don’t remember all this backlash when Caitlyn Jenner was named “Woman of the Year,” when she had not even been a woman for a whole year. So why all of this now.

What a disgrace to woman kind. This poor excuse of a human should thank a straight person for there being. God will look and say what have you done to yourself my child. He doesn’t make mistakes . Thank God for his Grace and His unwavering love.
