Fetty Wap was injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, and is currently in stable condition.
Fetty Wap, who took over the summer with his breakout single “Trap Queen,” was taken to the hospital after getting in a motorcycle accident. The rapper, who just celebrated the release of his debut album, was riding on a motorcycle in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey, when he reportedly collided with a car. Fetty Wap is reportedly in stable condition and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital.
The circumstances regarding the accident are unclear, but Paterson Police Director Jerry Speziale told reporters that the rapper had received a ticket for operating his motorcycle without a license and without insurance.
Fetty Wap has yet to comment on the nature of his injuries, but a rep for the rapper confirmed the accident. “Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle accident earlier today he was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition,” the representative told TMZ.
DJ Louie Styles tweeted a photo of Fetty Wap after the accident. The rapper appears to be conscious and sitting up, his leg in a brace. “God bless, he’s ok,” Styles wrote.
