Felicity Huffman could be facing four to ten months of jail time. After pleading guilty last week, Huffman’s sentencing is scheduled for May 21, and reports say that prosecutors will seek up to ten months incarceration for her role in the “Varsity Blues” college admissions scandal.
Huffman was among 13 parents who agreed to plead guilty last week. As part of the plea deal, prosecutors agreed to recommend “incarceration at the low end,” along with a $20,000 fine and one year of supervised release. The ten-month prison sentence prosecutors are currently seeking will be decided by a judge come May 21.
Upon pleading guilty, Huffman released a statement apologizing for her role in the college cheating scandal. Meanwhile, fellow actress Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli, who were also charged, have chosen to plead not guilty and will continue with hearings.
