Fashion Police returned Monday with Melissa Rivers as the new host, replacing her late mother, Joan Rivers. Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski joined Rivers for a special episode honoring Joan and covering the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.
“Melissa is a natural fit and did an incredible job of moderating the show and also bringing the funny,” Rancic told Variety. “You can instantly see she’s her mother’s daughter. I am so impressed by Melissa’s performance and am confident Joan is smiling down on her and so proud of how terrific she is as the new co-host.”
Fashion Police will feature celebrity guests each week. Monday’s episode featured NeNe Leaks, who recently left The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and comedian Margaret Cho.
“We found the fun today, again,” Rivers told E!. “The fun, and the heart, and remembering it’s fashion, and it’s celebrity, and it is fun. It’s not, you know, it’s not, we’re not negotiating world peace.”
