Justin Bieber’s fan base has begged him to seek help for his alleged mental problems, but the singer has shot back that he doesn’t need to listen to them.

On June 6, Bieber shared a series of selfies from his bathroom, in which he posed awkwardly in front of the mirror, making funny faces. He captioned the post, “U could point at my flaws or u could recognize ur own lil b—.”

This statement seemed to have the exact opposite of Bieber’s perceived intention, as it sparked a slew of comments instructing Bieber to get mental support rather than respecting his boundaries.

One internet user commented that Bieber was “slowly turning into the Britney Spears of our generation,” while another lamented, “So hard and sad to watch. Why are the people around him not helping him when he’s clearly struggling? He’s not clear at all and hurting.”

Many fans have recently been speculating that the singer is in a drug spiral since he has been spotted smoking marijuana on more than one occasion. He was also seen at his wife Hailey Bieber’s Rhode Skin event, where he exhibited “strange behavior,” further fueling suspicions he is “constantly” under the influence.

On Sunday, Bieber responded to fans’ concerns with a cryptic message accompanied by blurry black-and-white selfies. He wrote, “Tired of transactional relationships. If I have to do something to be loved, that’s not love.”

Bieber’s representatives have repeatedly shot down rumors of mental health and relationship problems in his life, claiming such tabloid stories are created to try to paint Bieber as unstable.

Bieber has recently grown closer to his pastor, Judah Smith, sparking concern among his close advisers.
