Faith Hill stunned on the Oscars red carpet on Feb. 22, but a scar on her neck had fans talking, and now the cause for the scar has been revealed.
According to sources, Hill, who attended the Oscars to support her husband, Tim McGraw, who performed Best Original Song nominee “I’m Not Gonna Miss You,” had neck surgery in January, resulting in the scar.
A source revealed to People that Hill had to undergo neck surgery to correct damage resulting from a previous surgery the singer received in 2011. The singer apparently suffered from a herniated disc, requiring an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. Since her first surgery, Hill has been recovering with the help of physical therapy.
On the red carpet at the Oscars, Hill showed no signs of pain. Instead, the singer turned heads with a new pixie cut and a stunning white, sparkly J. Mendel gown.
