EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Taz Skylar Reveals His Nerf-Gun War With Costar Iñaki Godoy While Shooting Season Two Of ‘One Piece’

In a sit-down conversation with uInterview, Taz Skylar revealed his favorite behind-the-scenes moment while filming season two of the Netflix series One Piece, a live-action adaption of the Manga series of the same name. Asked what on-set off-screen moments had stayed with him from filming season two, Skylar laughed that there were many, many fun memories behind the production. Sklar told uInterview founder Erik Meers, “Iñaki [Godoy] and I are like resident mischief. So this one day, I can’t remember who started it, I think it was Iñaki first who brought, like, some Nerf guns to set and came into the makeup trailer and started shooting everybody with Nerf guns. And so I called my driver who was nearby where we were shooting at that point, Anthony, he’s a gangsta…I called him up, and I was like, ‘Bro we have a problem, we need Nerf guns. I need you to go to Toys ‘R’ Us and I need you to buy the biggest, most exaggerative Nerf guns you can possibly find, and get grenades and get a rocket launcher if you can.’ And so he comes back from Toys ‘R’ Us with like, the whole arsenal of Nerf guns. And we were shooting somewhere in the middle of nowhere, and so there was a lot of space where the production base hadn’t set up, and while we were on lunch I take my arsenal, and I go into Iñaki’s tent and I just start laying into him with the Nerf gun. So he grabs his nerf gun and it turns into a full-blown war.” Season two of One Piece will premiere later in 2025.
