The stars of the upcoming Disney+ Series Obi-Wan Kenobi stopped by the Corinthia Hotel London for a photocall promoting the series and took a memorable picture with some stormtroopers. It looked like stars Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen and Moses Ingram, were all competing with the classic stormtrooper masks for “best scowl,” of the day but everyone looked equally cool.
At the London event, McGregor said he was happy plot details for the show hadn’t leaked because he valued “the experience for the fans of seeing something for the first time without already knowing the storyline,” he told Yahoo. He also joked about having to constantly play dumb about whether he wanted to do a spin-off while already knowing it was happening. He also said he was entertained by fan theories that have sprung up after the release of the trailers, but “mainly they’re wrong. So that’s funny to watch.”
Christensen also spoke about returning to his iconic character of Darth Vader. “Putting the Vader costume back on was incredible, you know? That costume comes with such a presence.” He called the experience of returning to the role “cathartic in a way, too, just because this is a character that has meant a lot to me and has sort of stayed with me over the years.”
