This holiday movie season, a new installment of Charlie’s Angels will be arriving in theaters. Directed by Elizabeth Banks, the new movie will include actresses Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and newcomer Ella Balinska.
Charlie’s Angels has been around since 1976, when it debuted as a TV series starring Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith. The series lasted five years. By 2000, it was time to turn the franchise into a feature-length film starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Daiz and Lucy Liu. The trio stuck around for a sequel, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.
In the new trailer, the set-up is familiar: three skilled women take on action-packed missions with style, savvy and some heavy artillery. In this film, the women are led by mentors, all of whom call themselves Bosley. Banks will appear as one of the Bosley’s as will Sam Claflin, Djimon Hounsou and Patrick Stewart.
