Evangeline Lilly denounced her Women’s Health magazine cover for featuring ‘Best Butt Ever’ in big lettering with an arrow pointing to her butt.

Lilly spoke about the cover of the January/February 2014 Women’s Health magazine during an appearance on Conan to promote her new film The Hobbit: The Dosolation of Smaug, the second in the Hobbit trilogy. Lilly, best known for her staring role in Lost (2004-2010), co-stars opposite Orlando Bloom as Tauriel, an elf.

Conan O’Brien brought up her Women’s Health cover, pointing out the ‘Best Butt Ever’ declaration and asked Lilly if the magazine had told her about the design before she committed to the shoot. Lilly immediately responded with a loud and firm ‘no.’

No! You think I would have done the shoot if they had said, ‘By the way, we’re gonna say, ‘Best Butt Ever!’ and put a big arrow to your behind? No! You know, every woman is after a kind of classy image,” Lilly said.

Lilly explained that she was disappointed that a women’s magazine would objectify her in such a way, saying she felt the decision to point out her backside so obviously was something she would expect from a men’s magazine.

“I didn’t want T&A on my cover! It’s a women’s magazine, it’s not Maxim,” she said.

Conan asked her if she had called the magazine to express her displeasure, and Lilly affirms that she did. Lilly seems to have made her peace with the magazine cover, however, making light of it later in the interview.

When talking about her two-year-old son, Kahekili, Lilly joked about her post-baby body, boasting that she still had the ‘Best Butt Ever.’

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug opens in theaters Friday, Dec. 13.
