Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are reportedly expecting their second child together.
Mendes, 41, is rumored to be expecting again with her longtime boyfriend, Gosling, 35. While neither Mendes nor Gosling have confirmed the baby news, the Hitch actress was reportedly spotted hiding a baby bump while doing a photo school back in February. On Thursday, after the news broke, Mendes was pictured out and about in Los Angeles, where she seemed to be covering her midsection with an oversized bag.
Mendes and Gosling similarly kept the first pregnancy under wraps, with the news not leaking out until Mendes was seven months along. “She’s been ready for motherhood for a while now, and to be sharing this experience with Ryan is a dream come true for her!” a source told OK! Magazine in July 2014. Mendes and Gosling welcomed a daughter on Sept. 12, 2014, naming her Esmerelda after the character in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
“We love The Hunchback of Notre Dame, we loved the name, the cartoon and the novel… it just kind of kept coming back to us,” Mendes told Wendy Williams last year. “It’s actually a very popular Latin name, so it’s easy for my father and certain family members that still don’t speak English to pronounce. That was a good selling point.”
According to those close to the couple, they couldn’t be happier as parents. Gosling is “madly in love” with Esmeralda, a source told People, adding of Mendes, “She’s never been happier.”
